meaning of the meaningless

Back in high school Latin
we translated a bit of a myth
where Sisyphus had to push
a boulder up a mountain
and back again
countless times

I don't remember why
he had to
but he had to

and anything
gets heavier
after a while

this is why
sometimes
it takes months
to cry

but under this
weight
strength also
grows

this is how we survive

True. So very true.

He does get to rest and reflect while going after it when it falls though.

I definitely agree it's how we survive, but I can't help but wonder if it's strength, or numbness (or if they're somehow the same.)

We build our strength of character in our life's lessons. Sometimes so very hard.
